Cocoon GetTogether locations

The Cocoon GetTogether 2005 will be held on friday, October 7th at the NEMO Science Museum. The two Hackathon days on wednesday and thursday will be held at the Felix Meritis building.

Both locations are in the centre of Amsterdam. The NEMO is in walking distance of the central train station, with a direct connection to Schiphol airport (15 minutes by train + a 10 minute walk). The Felix Meritis building is situated along one of the beautiful canals of Amsterdam and easily reached by public transport from the Central Station (10 minutes by tram).

If you're staying in Amsterdam for a couple of days, we advise you to hire a bike which is by far the quickest way of transportation in the city. You can hire bikes at or around the Central Station (see http://www.macbike.nl, around 6 euro per day if you stay for three days).

NEMO is easy to reach with public transport. Amsterdam’s Central Station is less than ten minutes’ walk from NEMO and bus 22 stops close by (Kadijksplein stop). When you walk out of Central Station in the direction of the city center, immediately turn left and walk along the water until you see the green building in the shape of a ship.

Of course you can also get to NEMO by car. There is no parking at NEMO itself so we advise you to park the car in Markenhoven car park in the Anne Frankstraat. It’s just a few minutes walk to NEMO. Follow the pedestrian signs.
