The Cocoon GetTogether 2007 will be held from wednesday, October 3rd until friday, October 5th, 2007 at the Rome Bioparco, which is located in the wonderful urban park of Villa Borghese, right in the heart of Rome.

How to get to the Bioparco

The Bioparco, Rome Zoo, is in Piazzale del Giardino Zoologico, in the centre of Villa Borghese.

Tram: n° 3, n°19 - Stop "Bioparco"
Bus: n° 52, 53, 926, 217, 360, 910
Subway: "red" Line, "Flaminio" and "Spagna" stations

Getting there

Getting to Rome is easy, and the preferred way is by plane. Both Rome airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) are within easy reach and well-connected with central Rome.Ciampino is the preferred place for low-cost airlines, whereas Fiumicino is the main international airport for the city of Rome.

Directions from Fiumicino

The best way of reaching central Rome from Fiumicino is by train, either via the fast, frequent, and a bit pricey Leonardo Express shuttle or using the regular scheduled service. Please make sure you have the correct ticket before boarding the train: the airport shuttle requires a different fare. The train will bring you to Roma Termini, which is the downtown train station for Rome.

Getting to central Rome via taxi is also an option, but do account for ¬80-100 at least. Note that traffic in Rome might be quite crazy at rush hour, which makes the train an even more compelling choice.

Directions from Ciampino

The airport of Ciampino is connected by direct bus or by train to central Rome. While the airport doesn't have a train station inside, a shuttle bus is available, with frequent train rides to central Rome.

Both the train and the direct bus will drop you at Roma Termini, right in the heart of Rome.

Staying in Rome

Rome is one of the major tourist destinations in the world. As such, there is a plethora of hotels, B&B and hostels to accommodate every need. While we commit to providing you with special deals and suggestions once the venue has been finalized, if you want to book in advance, our suggestion  is to choose a downtown hotel on the left side of the Tevere river, as close as possible to a subway station.

If you are looking for a budget accommodation, a number of cheap hotels and hostels are situated near Roma Termini station. While most of them would do just fine, please take into account that the area might not be extremely safe for night owls.
